Summer Institute for Washington Teachers of Japanese

The HBCC will be holding its’ annual Summer Institute for teachers of Japanesethis year from August 4th until August 7th at Roosevelt High School, Seattle.The theme of this year’s workshop will be “Classroom Development Strategiesfor using Culture in Japanese Language Instruction”. The lecturers forthe 4 day summer institute are Dr. Hiroko Kataoka of California State University,Long Beach, and Dr. Yasuhiko Tohsaku, University of California, San Diego.The program will be from Monday, August 4 to Thursday, August 7th, andwill be from 8 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon.The deadline toregister for the course is Tuesday, July 15th, 2008. WA州日本語教師サマーインスティチュート

HBCCではワシントン州内で第２外国語として日本語を教える教師のための夏期講習を今年も開催します。第１９回目となる今回のワークショップでは、「日本語教育に文化を使うのためのクラス開発戦略」というテーマが取り上げられます。講師には毎年ご指導を頂いているカリフォルニア州立大学ロン グビーチ校の片岡裕子教授とカリフォルニア大学サンディエゴ校の當作靖彦教授をお迎えします。
